Solfic offers a number of burner systems that have been developed for special applications. These burner systems have been manufactured in small series during the last few years and in use have proven their function and reliability. 

SFB Diesel Fuel Burners for the active regeneration of Diesel Particle Filters

The Solfic Fuel Burner system has been especially designed to increase the temperature of exhaust gases in order to regenerate diesel particle filters. The system is designed for intermittent on-off cycling or modulating control and can withstand high back pressures and pressure fluctuations. The system is Lloyds Register approved for use on Inland Waterway Vessels and Special Service Craft. The SFB system is also part of our MPAT and DPF-S emission reduction systems.

SFB100:          40-120 kW
SFB150:          60-180 kW

Backpressure: Standard: up to 100 mbar
Optional: up to 500 mbar
Temperature:  Upstream burner max. 500°C (while burning) / downstream burner max. 700°C
Distribution:  We can design the heat distribution tube to ensure optimum heat distribution and prevent hot spots
Control: PLC based control and safety system according EN 746-2

SLB Diesel Burner for the active regeneration of Diesel Particle Filters

The Solfic SLB burner system has been especially designed to increase the temperature of exhaust gases in order to regenerate diesel particle filters. The system is designed for intermittent on-off cycling or modulating control and can withstand high back pressures and pressure fluctuations. As opposed to the SFB system, the SLB system is not Class approved. The SLB system can be completely 24 VDC powered.

SLB70:            45-80   kW
Backpressure: Standard: Up to 100 mbar
Optional: Up to 150 mbar
Temperature:  Upstream burner max. 500°C (while burning) / downstream burner max. 700°C
Distribution:  We can design the heat distribution tube to ensure optimum heat distribution and
prevent hot spots.
Control: EN 746-2 based

In-Line burner modules for the active regeneration of Diesel Particle Filters and other process applications

All SFB and SLB burners can be supplied as an In-Line module with an interface connection according to your own specifications. All modules are designed for a specified flow, temperature, pressure and temperature uniformity. Naturally the systems are all checked for hotspots on the steelwork.
